At VibeMyLook, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth when you create an account. We also collect booking information, payment transaction details, device identifiers, and usage data such as the features you use and actions you take within the app. For salon owners, we collect business information including salon name, address, photos, and documents for verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; process transactions and send related information; send push notifications, SMS, and emails about your bookings; respond to comments and questions; monitor and analyze usage patterns; detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing
We share your information with salon owners to facilitate bookings you make with them. We share necessary information with payment processors to complete transactions. We may share information with service providers who assist in our operations, such as analytics, customer support, and cloud storage. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. AI "Try Look" Feature and Face Data
The optional "AI Try Look" feature lets you upload or capture a photo (which may include your face) to preview hairstyles, makeup, beard styles, or nail styles. This is entirely optional and is only used when you choose it. What we collect: the single photo you select or capture for a preview. How it is collected: you upload it or capture it in the app, and only after you tap "Agree & Continue" on the in-app consent notice. Who it is sent to: when you consent, the selected photo is securely transmitted to Google's Gemini AI service, operated by Google LLC, solely to generate the requested preview image. How it is used: the photo/face data is used ONLY to generate your preview. It is NOT used to identify or recognize you, is NOT used for advertising, and is NOT sold or shared with data brokers or any other third party. Retention and deletion: we do NOT store your uploaded photo on our servers. It is processed transiently to create the preview and then discarded; the generated preview is returned to your device where you may choose to save it. Because we do not retain your face/photo data, there is nothing further to delete. You can revoke consent at any time by not using the feature, and you may delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Security → Delete Account. Third-party protection: Google processes the image under its own privacy and security terms, which provide protection equal to or greater than the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls. Authentication tokens are stored securely and never in plain text. We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
6. Location Data
With your permission, we collect your device location to show nearby salons, provide accurate distance information, and improve search results. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. We do not share your precise location with salons or third parties without your consent.
6. Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional communications (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts) via SMS, WhatsApp, and email. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time from Settings. Transactional messages required for service delivery cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, remember preferences, and analyze site traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can update most of your information through your profile settings. To request data deletion or export, contact support@bookmylook.app. We will respond to your request within 30 days. Indian residents have rights under the Personal Data Protection Act.
10. Children's Privacy
VibeMyLook is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
11. Third-Party Links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and, for material changes, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after the change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
